Shot these photos on a 28oc day in London last week, which felt like the most incredible Summers day and was such a mood lifter. And while that weather is always such a dream, the slightly cooler weather we hope to get throughout Spring is my favourite in terms of the outfit options it brings. Jeans, light layers, and some great shoes - I always feel that weather is when my wardrobe feels the most versatile.

So with that, I have two pairs of shoes from Russell and Bromley’s new collection to share with you today. First up, these insane loafers. We all know my loafer collection is rather sizeable, but these clompier ones are filling a gap I didn’t even realise needed filling until I had them. They are all the adjectives I use on here so much to describe my style; androgynous but chic, effortless but still a statement. I am obsessed. The tortoiseshell print is amazing and goes so well with a light wash denim. The general shape of them which is more in line with a classic Russell and Bromley loafer makes them feel far more clompy, which I think will look really cool with little summer dresses on holiday too. For now I styled them with my favourite long leg jeans from Weekday and this sheer shirt from Massimo Dutti which is the perfect colour to be paired with these shoes. I feel like this would be a perfect look for drinks and dinner one evening.

Secondly we have something you can never have too many of; leather trainers. This particular pair are a gorgeous dusty pink which is so so leg lengthening, hence me wanting to style them with a mini dress. The shorter the better has been my recent mantra, and it really allows the shoes to be centre stage too. I always like an element of smartness in my looks, so the combination of some tailoring and a trainer is one I never tire of. And what I love about this oversized one over the mini dress is that from behind it looks like you’re just wearing a blazer and some trainers, which is a look I would go for if I felt it were appropriate. What makes this even more of a match made in heaven is the little blue tab at the back of the shoe (dusty pink and navy blue is always such an amazing combination, in both fashion and interiors), which matches the colour of the jacket perfectly! All finished off with the most Spring ready bag, this pastel blue number. For those of you (like me) who strive to find bags that look small but actually can carry everything including the kitchen sink, this is perfect for just that. Cross body or held like a clutch (less practical when you actually have to go out and do somethi ng, but great for a photo), this bag is the perfect finishing touch to this simple outfit.
