Silky

Ciao from Tropea! Any longtime readers will already be very familiar with the beautiful streets of Tropea. I have lost count of how many times I have been here now but every time is a pleasure, and always an amazing place to shoot some photos! I have been shooting film, filming a testing basics and filming another video while I am here - so I am very much in content creation mode!! So while there are many, many outfits coming up on various different platforms and channels, I wanted this one to have a post all to itself.

There are some pieces I buy that I just know I will have and wear forever. And this outfit is made up of those. These trousers I bought last Summer, and while I don't think they have been featured too much on my blog and Instagram, they come in my suitcase every time I go away and get worn at least once. They are stunning, so unique and effortless, so easy to wear and comfortable - so worth every penny I spent on them. And I knew when I bought them that they would be! This shirt is the same, albeit a much newer acquisition. I bought this on my second LA trip from Reformation, and as soon as I tried it on thought 'yep, I will wear this to death'. It has since been worn while in LA, twice in London, and now in Italy. The open back detail is so stunning and I love the way you can leave it open, tie it up, tuck it in. So many options!

Sometimes my judgement for those forever pieces is wrong. I clearly remember when I bought this Isabel Marant blazer I thought I would never take it off, and in reality I have only worn it a handful of times. There is nothing in particular that stops me from wearing it, but it was never the amazing piece I expected it to be. So while I wish I could say I get it right every time when picking those pieces you will pull from your wardrobe season after season, I unfortunately don't.
