Uniqlo x Lemaire SS16

I am so incredibly excited to say that today I am sharing another Uniqlo collection, this time it's the final instalment of the ongoing and very popular Uniqlo and Lemaire collaboration. Their previous winter collection was incredible, and the Spring/Summer one has stolen my heart too. By far my favourite thing about this collection is that you can wear it now. Don't be put off by the Spring/Summer title, these are some seriously good transitional pieces which can play a major part in your wardrobe from now, right until the end of Summer. I think the fact that I am sharing these pieces in February really showcases that. Obviously, it's still pretty nippy outside, but I found it so easy to make these pieces work for me! Whether it's laying them together, like with the mesh top and shirt, or with pieces you already own. This collection will sit perfectly in so many people's wardrobes, just calling out to be paired with pieces you have hanging on your rail. There is range of colours (obviously I picked all monochrome pieces, as that's what works best for me), so whatever your style, there will be something there for you (see it for yourself here). While I loved layering these pieces up and really testing how they will work in my wardrobe, I cannot wait to wear them on their own. Their moderately oversized silhouettes are perfect to be worn alone, letting the shape of the piece be the statement of the outfit.

Available first at Uniqlo.com March 3rd at 11pm, and follow the link to the collection here. Launching in selected stores from 18th March as well!

Not only can you wear the items for months on end, but you can also wear them for any occasion. The collection is full of loose fitting pieces that lend themselves perfectly to casual everyday wear, and an effortlessly chic smarter looks. I had to start off with a casual look, and with my favourite piece from this collection: the mesh polo sweater. I decided to really go for it and flash a bit of bra, but the perfect fit and style of this top stops it from being overly sexy. Teamed with the stand collar long sleeved shirt to bring back the androgynous feel I adore, this really was a match made in heaven.

This shirt is also incredible on it's own. I LOVE the breast pockets! The attention to detail in this collection, through the shapes, choice of material and complimentary colours, take these minimal pieces to another level! Even the texture of the items is incredible - something that is so important for us lover of all black outfits.

So the other two outfits I have put together each just contain one item from the Uniqlo x Lemaire collection. This completely shows how these items are working so well in my wardrobe, helping me create transitional outfits and nod towards the coming warmer months.

First up is the white supima cotton tunic. Guys, this looks amazing on it's own!! I cannot wait to swan about wearing this and some slides. But for the meantime, it's going to be staying over trousers. I LOVE wearing long tops/dresses over trousers. It's a really easy wardrobe update that makes an outfit seem way more interesting. Lemaire have created pieces that fit loosely and oversized, but not in a way that is unflattering or drowns you.

Finally, is this incredibly chic black midi dress. Another item I cannot wait to wear on it's own! It lends itself so well to layering though, as it's got just the right amount of structure - just enough to perfectly flatter the body, but while still having movement!
